Goliath Grouper pulled from Deep Dropping at Cape Eleuthera

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Sergio posts another big fish from the deep off the Banks of the Cape to prove this grouper a chiller in the igloo cooler. ”I think he needed a bigger cooler”.

Guests back at the “T” Dock could not believe a fish so large as “Victorious” threw him up on the dock for the visitors to marvel. Guests from the Balconies of the villas could see the catch.

Needless to say the Bahama Coffee Company waterfront restaurant will be serving fresh grouper prepared by Chef Lisa Culmer…compliments of our Angler hero Sergio!

These two beauties snorkeled 30′ of water off the Schooner Cays pointing out the fish hiding in the depths while their Husbands battled to fin down to target giant muttons, hog fish and these two keeper Nassau Groupers to the dinner table aboard “Victorious”. Even the passing summer funnel cloud did not interrupt this memorable day of free diving.  Later in the Day Capt. Cally commented he has never seen so many lobster hiding in the patch reefs and that when August comes, we will enjoy one of the best lobster seasons ever. He counted over 40 table size lobsters as he was diving nearby with the “McBride’s”- Long term repeat guests of the Cape and S. Eleuthera.
